Pink Elephant Parking has a long history of providing secure and reliable parking at most UK airports. Additionally, they provide a range of other services such as airport transfers, car cleaning and parking guides.
They required a highly functional new website that performed well in search engines and offered customers an easy way to book their services online.
Taking the brand online and adding value through design
We successfully transferred the vibrant Pink Elephant brand colours to their website whilst always considering usability and accessibility. Using the main pink colour sparingly to highlight buttons, key areas and links to guide the user through the site was an important factor in achieving this.
Offering extra value through detailed information for their customers was a key objective for Pink Elephant. The challenge for us was to present it all in the most engaging way possible. We based the design of the site around this need and used a clear hierarchy of fonts and ensured the copy was organised and structured.
Providing a strong foundation for SEO
This was important as it would give Pink Elephant a good starting point from which they could fine-tune their SEO. We put our extensive knowledge of SEO best practices to use and considered it at every stage of the web development. Amongst other things, the code is clean and the site well structured. As a result the Pink Elephant website is on its way to achieving a top ranking position in all the major search engines.
Seamless integration with 3rd party apps to give a better user experience
To give their site the functionality needed to offer the highest quality user experience possible, 3rd party apps were used. The two main instances were Google Maps and Arepo, an on-line booking engine. The maps were added to the airport pages to highlight the locations of the Pink Elephant parking facilities and Arepo was used to provide a secure account management and booking service for customers.
Giving control to the client through a custom CMS
It was no good having all this functionality and considered site design if Pink Elephant couldn’t grow and adapt their site. The solution was to use a CMS. More specifically, our easy to use i-edit CMS, which was customised to fulfil their needs exactly. Pink Elephant now have the freedom they need to effortlessly update their website.
