First Group Plc has launched two new smartcard portals from Imaginet as part of their new smartcard ticketing strategy which launched in June 2014.
The new touch card has been rolled out to Bristol and Hampshire areas initially and the portals, developed by the Registered ITSO Supplier Imaginet, allow customers to register on-line, amend their details, view the tickets loaded on the card as well as their journey history, giving customers easy access to their account and travel information,. The design and navigation make it easy for customers to manage their touch card.
The initial roll-out has been a great success and Imaginet is currently working on Phase 2 of the portals, which will introduce ticket sales. This means that customers will be able to top-up an existing ticket or add a new ticket to their card before travelling. It’s all about making travel as easy as possible on First buses.
